Hi! My name is Emeril and Im as sweet as they come! Im a young-at-heart 8-10 year old Poodle mix whos 18 pounds and looking for a family to call my very own. My old life wasnt so great. My sister and I were flea-infested and matted to the skin when we were dumped unapologetically by our previous owner. Since then, Ive been professionally groomed and doted on by everyone here at Animal Alliance. I must admit, I turned out to be quite handsome! Im currently living with a warm and loving foster family whos showing me what its like to be truly loved. One thing you should know about me right off the bat: Im almost completely blind, but that doesnt phase me one bit! I get around just fine once I learn my surroundings. In fact, my friends at the dog park say they cant believe Im blind because Im such a happy fellow and run and play just like all the other dogs. Some of my favorite activities include playing tug with my toys, taking rides in the car, napping in my bed, belly rubs and following my humans wherever they go! My favorite toy is my tennis balloh my goodness, I love to chase that ball! Oh, and did I mention that I LOVE going for walks?? So If youre looking for a reason to get some fresh air and exercise, Im your guy! Im super friendly and get along with other dogs (my foster brother is a cocker spaniel mix) and I would do best with a companion of similar demeanor and energy level. I havent been around many cats, so Im not sure if I like them, but Im pretty easy going and make friends easily. I am housebroken and may benefit from crate training. Im currently working on my basic commands (Im really good at sit and stay so far!) and brushing up on my doggie manners. Im not perfect yet, but I learn more every day. Im looking for a family that will love and care for me for the rest of my days and in return I will give them my loyalty and unconditional love. Wont YOU be the one to take me home?
